Events Around Morgan City

The excitement of live rodeo competition is coming to Morgan City as the Far South Rodeo 2026 takes over the Morgan City Arena on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Produced by the Cajun Rodeo Association, the event promises an action-packed evening featuring cowboys, bucking bulls, and family-friendly entertainment. Whether you’re a longtime rodeo fan or introducing your family to the sport for the first time, Far South Rodeo offers an opportunity to experience the excitement of live rodeo competition right here in Morgan City.

The day’s activities begin with Slack at 10:00 AM, followed by Mutton Bustin’ at 7:00 PM. The main rodeo performance begins at 7:30 PM, giving spectators a full evening of action in the arena.

Admission is $10 for adults, while children 11 and under are admitted free.

Families are encouraged to come out, cheer on the competitors, and support the Cajun Rodeo Association as they bring another exciting community rodeo to Morgan City. From the competition in the arena to the excitement of mutton bustin’ for the younger participants, there will be plenty to keep rodeo fans entertained throughout the evening.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

• Main Sponsor — $1,000: One 4×8 or smaller sign on the announcer stand, two additional banners or signs, and 10 free rodeo tickets.
• Out Gate Sponsor — $750: One 4×8 or smaller sign at the out gate and six free rodeo tickets.
• Bucking Chutes Sponsor — $500: One 2×8 sign on the bucking chutes and four free rodeo tickets.
• Arena Banner — Inner — $300: One 2×6 banner on the side of the arena fence and four free rodeo tickets.
• Arena Banner — Outer — $250: One 2×6 or smaller banner on the outside of the arena fence and two free rodeo tickets.
• Announcer Advertising — $100: Several mentions by the rodeo announcer during the event. No sign space is included.
• Sheep Scramble Sponsor — $50: Business name mentioned during the Sheep Scramble for children ages 7 and under.
