The Morgan City Recreation Department Youth Volleyball League provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young athletes to learn and enjoy the game of volleyball.

The Morgan City Recreation Department Youth Volleyball League provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young athletes to learn and enjoy the game of volleyball.
The program is designed to offer a wholesome recreational outlet while teaching the core values of sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, discipline, and fair play.
Through age-appropriate instruction and game play, participants develop fundamental volleyball skills while building confidence and respect for others.
League Divisions & Age Eligibility
Age eligibility is determined by the child’s age on or before August 1 of the current year:
Rookie League (Ages 7–9):
Youth who are or will be seven (7) years old before August 1 and will not turn ten (10) on or before August 1 of the current year.
Minor League (Ages 10–12):
Youth who are or will be ten (10) years old before August 1 and will not turn thirteen (13) on or before August 1 of the current year.
Registration Requirements & Fees
Registrations are due by September 11.
Applications will not be accepted unless complete. Each application must include:
- A copy of the child’s birth certificate
- Parental/guardian signatures
- $50.00 registration fee
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is physically able to participate prior to enrolling.
Parent & Spectator Expectations
Parents are an essential part of the Youth Volleyball League and are expected to support the program’s goals at all times. To maintain a positive experience for all participants, the following guidelines apply:
- Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Derogatory or abusive language or actions toward league supervisors, officials, or coaches are strictly prohibited.
- Fan enthusiasm is encouraged; however, behavior that embarrasses or ridicules opposing teams will result in removal from the park.
- Violations of these rules will result in penalties determined by the Recreation Department and may include removal of parents and/or players from Recreation Department activities.
Players may be removed from the program due to rule violations by their parents.
